Asus has gone out of its way to make an Eee PC to suit every need and if you're after an everyday mobile computer, the Eee PC 1000H will suit many. Its larger keyboard makes it easier to use for adults, while its greater storage also provides the flexibility a more mature and demanding audience are after. It's only a shame the 1.45kg weight makes it bulkier than most, but on balance it's still the better of two 10in Eee PCs and until someone can match the battery life offered here it's probably the best netbook of its type, too.

As far as the near future goes, I plan on getting eeeBuntu (or something like it) as dialed in as possible but keeping my Windows XP partition. If eeeBuntu works really well, I can’t see using Windows very often, but I have the 80GB so I might as well have the option. I’m considering dropping in more RAM and even a 2.5-inch SSD, but neither are necessary and they would just be 30-minute projects. There is some room for tinkering with the system, but I’ll probably stay more on the software side, as the hardware side of the 1000H is pretty much in line with my needs right now.

If you take a step back and forget about the competitors and the price wars and so on, the Asus Eee PC 1000H turns out to be a very solid 10-inch netbook. It offers a good typing experience, a usable display, and a full set of features, making just what people need from a netbook. Where the Eee PC 701 was OK as a secondary notebook, the 1000H could be a primary notebook (but not, for most people, your primary computer). This may seem like a fine distinction, but it represents a big jump in usefulness and productivity. Once you factor in the price and competition, things get a lot more complex–Asus has still put out a very good product but the tough competition in this segment means that, for many people, it is not as desirable a system as some of the alternatives.

The ASUS Eee PC 1000H netbook is fairly large and borders on the size of a traditional ultraportable system. Of course, it has a much lower price tag and features but for a netbook it does quite well. The Windows XP operating system adds to the cost but makes it much more flexible to use. The biggest gripe though is the poor location of the right shift key that is nearly unusable without training.

ASUS' Eee PC 1000H is a netbook that's hard to fault and is currently the closest we've seen to the perfect netbook. Although it has a lot of competition on its tail.

Another month, another Eee PC, and we reach what must surely be the brand's peak size. The 1000H's 10in screen brings it in line with the MSI Wind U100 and Advent 4211 - in our view the best two mini-laptops so far. But it also makes it the most expensive Eee PC yet, a charge that puts it on the back foot from the start.
Yes, it's bigger and dearer than ever, but it's also the most usable and well made Eee PC yet.

We found this a great laptop for those who need something akin to a standard laptop. However, for the daily commute the 901 remains a more portable option. That said, there is no denying this is a great Netbook. You won't want it as your sole machine, but as a second device for basic tasks, it's a great choice.

We concluded our review of the Eee PC 901 by saying “with the promise of the 10-inch Eee PC 1000 and Eee PC 1000H just around the corner, some may want to play the waiting game.” And we were right. Those looking for a larger mini-notebook with a good sized screen and a spacious keyboard will find nearly everything they are looking for. However, the similarly configured MSI Wind NB offers comparable performance and endurance for $150 less, although some will prefer the 1000H's slick aesthetics. We like the Eee PC 1000H, but we’ll like it a lot more if the final pricing for the system winds up being less.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950: L’Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 est une carte graphique intégrée à la carte mère sur les chipsets Mobile Intel 945GM. c’est une version accélérée de la GMA 900.
Seuls les vieux jeux peuvent tourner de façon fluide sur ces ordinateurs (S'ils ne sont pas trop gourmands en ressources). Les coeurs à mémoire partagée de cette catégorie ont l'avantage d'être moins chaud et moins gourmand en énergie. Pour le bureau, internet, l'édition de photos, et le montage vidéo ces cartes graphiques n'ont aucune restrictions.

1.5 kg: Ce subnotebook a le poids le plus léger par rapport aux autres ordinateurs portables et peut être porté très facilement.
Asus: Asus est un fabricant international de taille moyenne. Dans les pays allemands et d'expression anglaise de nos jours beaucoup de portables d'Asustec sont passés en revue. Néanmoins plutôt peu de modèles d'ordinateur portable réalisent des bonnes positions selon le rang et le rapport qualité/prix totale.
85.89%: Voici une bonne note au dessus de la moyenne. Mais vous ne devez pas oublier qu'il y a de 10 à 15% de portables avec de meilleures notes.
